Abstract
You might notice a time discrepancy between events shown in the Pingwire interface and those listed in exported reports. Here’s why this happens:
✅ What causes the time difference?
-
Pingwire Interface Time
The time displayed in the interface is based on your browser's local time zone. This means the system adjusts to wherever you're located. For example, if you're in Sweden, the interface will show:-
UTC+1 during standard time (winter)
-
UTC+2 during daylight saving time (summer)
-
-
Exported Report Time
All exported reports use Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) by default. This ensures consistency across global teams but lead to a difference depending on your location and season.
🔁 Can I make the times match?
Yes — if you prefer to see the same times in both the interface and reports, you can:
-
Change your computer's time zone to UTC.
This way, both the browser-based interface and reports will align to the same UTC time, displaying the same timestamps. -
Manually adjust report when reviewing.
Simply add or subtract the difference between your local time and UTC (e.g., +2 hours for Sweden in summer).
