Abstract
When setting up a rule, you can assign a Rule Score - a numeric value that represents the severity or importance of that rule.
When the rule is triggered, its Rule Score is applied to the specific alert (Ping) as a Ping Score. For example, if a rule has a Rule Score of 40, the Ping generated by that rule will have a Ping Score of 40.
When confirming a Ping on an entity, the Ping Score can either be confirmed as is or manually adjusted, depending on the case.
The Score Expiry Date represents the point in time when the score from a triggered rule will no longer contribute to the overall score on the entity. In other words, it marks the end of the rule’s “decreasing timeline” — a duration that is configured directly in the rule setup. After this date, the score impact from that specific rule and ping is considered expired and will no longer affect the total score for that entity.
